Pediatric Brain Injury Advisor

Ms. Alex York, M.S.

Ms. York is a parent advocate and mom to two amazing boys, one of whom suffered a traumatic brain injury at birth.  She utilizes her education in physiology, her professional experience in research and integrative health, and her instincts as a mom to identify and address the multiple challenges facing parents of TBI children.  More specifically, she is focused on finding solutions for the lack of coordination and communication among the various pediatric care providers and parents.  Ms. York is currently the Director of Academic Partnerships for the Maryland University of Integrative Health where she serves in a number of leadership roles at the University.  She is also a certified health and wellness coach and a trained yoga teacher.
