Data Manager & Social Media Assistant

Amanda holds a Masters in Library and Information Science. Her background includes experience in various nonprofits and defense contracting environments which expanded her skills in research and problem solving. Her husband, Nathan Carrington, served in the US Army before being injured in Iraq and being medically retired in 2014 – this gave her a crash course in advocacy and care giving that continues through today. She is originally from California and has lived across the US including Minnesota, Maryland, Virginia, and Louisiana before settling in Texas. Amanda and Nathan have two children, Rita & Hoyt. Amanda has read over 3,000 books and reading is her favorite hobby. Beginning as a volunteer in caregiving support, she now works for the Foundation as our data manager and social media assistant.
