Nick Gardner, US Army Combat Veteran
Nick Gardner is a Purple Heart Recipient U.S. Army Veteran. In June 29th, 2009, while serving in Iraq, Nick was Wounded In Action (WIA) when an Explosive Formed Projectile (EFP) impacted his vehicle during a combat patrol. As a result, Gardner sustain shrapnel wounds to his right arm and face, a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), among other injuries. Nick and Victor were wounded in the same mission and incident. They worked together for many years, but since that day, their brotherhood bond became stronger that day in 2009. Nick personally knows the challenges that come with a TBI. He is committed in being a positive impact to others with disabilities. Nick continues to overcome the challenges after TBI and PTSD. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. Additionally, Nick has college degrees in Small Business Management and Social Sciences. Nick is a dedicated father and husband. He strives to be an example and inspiration to Veterans and civilians with disabilities.
